Description.
The Palmetto Number Theory Series (PANTS) is a series of number theory
meetings held at colleges and universities in South Carolina, the Palmetto
State as well as neighboring states. The core members of the PANTS consortium are:
The goal of the PANTS meetings is to provide an opportunity for number
theorists in South Carolina, and more generally, in the Southeast, to hear
about recent research in all areas of number theory, pure and applied.
PANTS is funded for the 2010-2011 academic year by grants from the NSF (DMS-1001553) and NSA.

- Contributed Talks: Contributed talks are typically twenty minutes in length, though we
will try to accomodate talks of other lengths. If you wish to contribute a talk please send an e-mail to Jim Brown (jimlb at clemson dot edu)
with your name, affliation, title, and abstract (when available).

- Friday evening at 5:30 pm Ken Ono will deliver a general audience talk in the auditorium in Vickery Hall. Parking will be event parking, so any faculty/staff parking on the east side of campus is free parking after 5 pm. A poster announcing the talk can be found here.
We will go to dinner at 7:15 at Spanky's BBQ in Six Mile. The address is 108 North Main Street Six Mile, SC 29682-9524.

- Registration:
  The registration fee for all participants is paid for by the NSA.
- Participant support:
PANTS has a limited budget from which to provide support
for travel. Here is a
visitor expense form which may be used to request support. NOTE: If you wish to apply for travel reimbursement you
MUST send an e-mail to Jim Brown at least one week before the start of the conference registering for the conference! If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident
you must let Jim Brown know in advance of the conference in order to receive reimbursement.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Inn in Clemson. The room rate is $64 per night. Please
mention you are with the PANTS conference when making your reservation.

Participants are responsible for making their own arrangements.

  Clemson University is located
in Clemson,
South Carolina.
The mathematics department is in
O-Martin Hall, which can be located the campus map. The talks will take place in M-Martin Hall.
