Elliott is a lowland Scot clan. My ancestor and many like him migrated from Scotland to northern Ireland in the 1600's when England tried to replace Irish Catholics with Protestants. Others may have gone to England when King James crushed the border raiders who had raided England from Scotland before the kingdoms were united. Sorry I cant be more helpful. Jim Elliott
