The GRE subject test can be a tremendous hurdle for many students seeking to attend graduate school in mathematics. This is magnified at institutions that do not regularly offer courses in all of the subjects tested on the GRE subject test and do not have a sufficient number of students each year taking the exam to form a study group. As part of the RTG program aimed at undergraduates we will offer a GRE exam prep workshop, supervised by a more senior RTG graduate student. Each spring there will be a one hour weekly GRE subject test preparation course. This will be followed by weekly working group in the fall months leading up to the subject test (typically taken in late September or October). The GRE subject test preparation will be open to not only Clemson students, but to any interested students in the region. This workshop will be made available via online so students that are at institutions not within reasonable driving distance can still participate remotely. There is no student fee associated with this workshop; students may attend as many meetings of the workshop as they like.
